25 people detained for photo collage with Kadyrov - report
Law enforcers have detained residents of Chechnya involved in distributing a photo collage with the head of the republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, the Kavkaz.Realii reports.
According to the news portal, the detentions took place in two regions of Chechnya.
In Shali, on January 24, law enforcers detained 11 people, including schoolchildren and a 62-year-old taxi driver; in the village of Germenchuk, Shali region, two schoolchildren and two young people 25-30 years old were detained; in the Kurchaloevsky district, ten more people were detained, the Kavkaz.Realii reported on January 25. According to the source, law enforcers believe that all the detainees sent and received a photo in which Ramzan Kadyrov is depicted in the garment of an Orthodox priest.
The detainees were placed in an isolation ward in the regional police department of the Shali district, where they spent the night, however, the police failed to draw up detention protocols, and are putting pressure on the detainees, the paper reports.
Let us remind you that a meeting of the Chechen government on November 4, 2019 Ramzan Kadyrov demanded to identify the authors of negative materials about the republic, as well as social network users commenting on them. According to Kadyrov, "anyone who infringes on honor and dignity will be punished in a most severe way."
