Woman detained under Tumso's attack case in Sweden
The Swedish Prosecutor's Office (PO) believes that a woman, a Russian citizen, was involved in the attack on the Chechen blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the above attack on Tumso Abdurakhmanov was committed on February 26, when the attacker penetrated his apartment with a hammer. Abdurakhmanov managed to disarm him and called the police. Both were hospitalized. On March 3, it became known that Swedish law enforcers suspected Ruslan Mamaev, a Russian citizen, of attempting to kill Tumso Abdurakhmanov.
PO officials have asked the district court in the Swedish city of Gävle to arrest a 30-year-old woman who allegedly was an accomplice in the February 26 assassination attempt on the well-known blogger, says the report posted on March 6 on the PO's website, which, however, fails to present the results of the consideration of the arrest motion of the woman and details of her role in the attack.
The detained woman is a Russian citizen, like the 29-year-old man arrested earlier under this case. She denies her involvement in the crime, the "Aftonbladet" writes citing Prosecutor Teresa Stensson.
The latter has confirmed that Tumso Abdurakhmanov had been initially suspected himself of an attempted murder of the man, who is now under arrest on charges of Tumso's murder attempt. Now, according to Ms Stensson, Abdurakhmanov's suspicion has been lifted.
