Law enforcers' raids in yards of high-rise blocks cause controversy in Chechnya
After Ramzan Kadyrov's demand to tighten control over people's movement in city streets, law enforcers' raids have frequented in Grozny, townspeople inform.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 27, Ramzan Kadyrov announced the step-by-step lifting of restrictions in Chechnya, but on April 29, he ordered to tighten control over the movement of people due to violations by them of the self-isolation regime.
Today, a video clip about a law enforcers' raid was posted in the Instagram public "Chechnya Online". The clip filmed from a window shows a group of law enforcers in the yard of an apartment block, which is led by a man in blue camouflage uniform. "They're taking them away. They put them (into cars)," a female voice says behind the scene. "Bring that one going over. Bring this one, the one that has gone around the corner, bring him as well. Take and bring everyone here," the law enforcer gave commands in the video, pointing with his hand.
In their comments, social network users have disputed about law enforcers' actions. Some Instagram users found the measures justified due to the coronavirus threat; their opponents treat the quarantine restrictions as excessive.
"This is lawlessness," the user zaretapolonkoeva wrote, in particular. "Why is this chaos? Do you think that employees have fun? For example, I am also an employee, and I have 3 days at work and one day off ... If they didn't violate the quarantine, we would also sit quietly at home," the user bibulatov__007 has objected.
