Law enforcers resume raiding Tangim Mosque

With the restart of Friday prayers in the Makhachkala "Tangim" Mosque, law enforcers gathered near it and began stopping believers' cars of and copying drivers' and passengers' personal data.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 29, 2020, the managers of the "Tangim" Mosque in Makhachkala announced its closure due to the coronavirus epidemic. Other mosques of the republic were also closed. Since July 3 Dagestan resumed Friday services.

Before the beginning of coronavirus pandemic and introduction of quarantine restrictions, law enforcers held regular Friday raids in the vicinity of the "Tangim" Mosque.

On July 10, after the Friday namaz (prayer) in the "Tangim" Mosque, at all the main exits from the mosque, about 50 employees of various power bodies were waiting for the believers. They stopped their cars and recorded personal data of drivers and passengers.

The law enforcers explained that the operation "Weapons" is being conducted throughout the republic, the Dagestani edition "Novoye Delo" has informed.
