Social network users criticize requirement to enter Grozny cafes in masks
In the Chechen capital, law enforcers held raids in restaurants to check if visitors were wearing masks. The requirement not to enter a cafe without a mask provoked critical comments on Instagram.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in late July, the authorities of Chechnya tightened measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, including the mask regime. However, Ramzan Kadyrov and his associates did not wear masks when participating in mass events.
Law enforcers held raids to check the restaurants of the Chechen capital for compliance with sanitary measures and mask regime, workers of catering outlets reported.
"It's hard to explain to visitors why they should wear masks while entering a cafe, since they are anyway allowed to take the masks off inside. We have two or three conflicts a day because of this requirement to wear masks," says Leyla, an owner of the "Celebration House".
"Here is the inscription at the cafe entrance reading: 'Without a mask, entry is strictly prohibited' ... And how a person can eat with a mask on the face?" asks Instagram user musaev.113 with irony.
"It is not written there that it is forbidden to eat ... You should wear a mask only while entering a cafe ... You enter a cafe and then took the mask off," reacted user khadidjs63. "The main thing is that you wear a mask when you enter a cafe, and then you may easily get infected," added user miramirs17.
