Dagestani and Chechen children-returnees from Syria handed over to relatives

Seven children returned from Syria have been handed over to relatives in Dagestan and Chechnya; 16 other children are being prepared to be sent to their relatives in Dagestan, the office of the Children's Ombudsperson has informed.

On November 13, an aircraft returned 31 children from Syrian refugee camps to Russia. On November 20, the office of the Children's Ombudsperson reported that eight children had been transferred to their relatives in Dagestan, Ingushetia, North Ossetia and Chechnya.

The remaining 16 children from the group evacuated from the Middle East on November 13 will be handed over to relatives in the near future, said Marina Yezhova, the Children's Ombudsperson in Dagestan.
