Kadyrov's threats to burn down cars demonstrate his impunity

In his talk with Magomed Daudov, Speaker of the Chechen Parliament, Ramzan Kadyrov threatened to confiscate and burn down the cars of those who have shown disrespect for policemen, and send them to compulsory work. Kadyrov makes such statements out of the feeling of impunity, but some of his subordinates perceive them as a guide to action, analysts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" believe.

After reading the above Kadyrov's statement, Svetlana Gannushkina, the chair of the "Civil Assistance" Committee, has noted that only someone unaware with the Russian legislation could say this. "For Kadyrov, there is one law in Chechnya – a Ramzan's order. And such a situation in the republic, with Kremlin's blessing, has developed long ago. People have agreed and put up with it," she has stressed.

Ruslan Kutaev, President of the Assembly of Caucasian Nations, sticks to a similar opinion; he believes that Kadyrov's intention to burn down cars "for disrespect" has to do with his impunity. "After all, what he expounds is not some thoughtful and duly-balanced homework. That's what got into his head at that moment, that is declared; because Ramzan is sure: no matter what he says, no matter what he does, he will get nothing for that," Mr Kutaev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

At the same time, according to his version, the main problem is that in Kadyrov's entourage "there are those who, despite the absurdity of such statements, can accept such an order as a guide to direct action."
