Azerbaijan counts death toll of Karabakh war

In the period from September 27 to November 9, 2783 Azerbaijani soldiers were killed in the battles in the Karabakh conflict zone, and 1245 others undergo medical treatment, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that according to the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan, since September 27, 94 civilians have been killed and 414 others have been injured. On December 2, the partial demobilization was announced in the country, and parents with many children and guardians of disabled people and minors were allowed to return home. On the same day, President Ilham Aliev decided to establish the Victory Day in the country: the holiday will be celebrated on November 10, the day when the armistice agreement had been signed.

The MoD of Azerbaijan also reports that the work is underway to identify 103 military personnel using DNA analysis.

Let us remind you that according to the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh, 1221 soldiers of the unrecognized republic were killed in the battles. By November 6, 49 civilians were killed, and 157 others were wounded.
