Azerbaijani Authorities grow hot over appeals to evict Russians out of the country
"Provocative statements on eviction of Russian citizens from Azerbaijan have nothing to do with the moods of Azerbaijani people and society." This opinion was expressed by Aidyn Mirzazade, deputy chair of the permanent commission of Milli Medzhlis of Azerbaijan for security and military issues, who made comments on the application of the Organization for Liberation of Karabakh (OLC) disseminated one of these days, the "News-Azerbaijan" reports.
"Today, about 300,000 Russians live in Azerbaijan, the country operates educational institutions, publishes newspapers are broadcasts TV channels in Russian. The attitude to Russians in normal across the country, and there are no problems with it," he stated, having stressed that he condemns declarations of this sort of politicians.
We remind you that because of Russia's enacting new migratory laws, which have restricted the right of foreigners to trade there, the OLC has declared: "We demand from Russian leaders to put an end to discrimination of our compatriots who live in their country, otherwise the OLC will undertake concrete steps to suspend the operation of the Russian embassy in Baku and to evict Russians from Azerbaijan."
