Over past 24 hours, more than 480 refugees return to Nagorno-Karabakh

Russian peacemakers have escorted another column of buses with 488 refugees from Yerevan to Stepanakert, making the total number of returnees in excess of 43,000 people, the Russian Ministry of Defence has informed today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 23, Russian peacemakers escorted buses with 350 refugees from Yerevan to Stepanakert. According to the Russian MoD, the number of residents who returned to Nagorno-Karabakh made over 42,000.

Over the past 24 hours, more than 480 refugees returned to Nagorno-Karabakh, the Russian MoD has informed. "488 refugees were transported by buses from Yerevan to Stepanakert. The buses were accompanied by patrols of the Russian peacemaking contingent and military police," says the press release posted on the MoD's website.

In total, more than 43,000 refugees have already returned to Nagorno-Karabakh, the MoD has added.
