Ingush woman gets court decision on giving out of body of suspect killed in CTO

The court granted a claim lodged by Madina Lolokhoeva and allowed to give out to her the body of her husband Aslangirei Gadaborshev, who was killed by law enforcers, the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" reported. Meanwhile, the court dismissed a similar claim lodged by the mother of killed Ibragim Lolokhoev.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 23, in the village of Troitskoye, law enforcers conducted a counterterrorist operation (CTO), in which three supporters of the "Islamic State" (IS, a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") were killed, and two law enforcers were injured. The killed suspected militants were identified as Magomed Saraliev, Aslangirei Gadaborshev, and Ibragim Lolokhoev. Investigators refused to give out the bodies to relatives for burial.

Aslangirei Gadaborshev was not prosecuted for terrorist activities, so the investigators' decision not to give out his body to relatives contradicted the law, state human rights defenders Nadezhda Ermolaeva and Tamerlan Akiev. "The 'war with dead bodies' is just a demonstration of cruelty," says human rights defender Magomed Mutsolgov.

The judge granted the claim lodged by Madina Lolokhoeva, since, according to the investigators' version, her husband was killed not as a result of the suppression of the terror act, but in an attempt on the lives of law enforcers and preparation of a terror act.
