Kadyrov instructs Delimkhanov to solve the issue of giving Timurziev brothers' bodies out to relatives
If the case against the Timurziev brothers is considered under the terrorism article, their bodies will not be handed over to the family, Ramzan Kadyrov has stated, instructing Adam Delimkhanov to deal with the issue.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 28, 2020, policemen were attacked in Grozny. One of them died, the other one was wounded. Both attackers, the Timurziev brothers, natives of Ingushetia, were killed. On December 30, members of the Timurziev and Sultygov Ingush teips (family clans) demanded to present proofs that the brothers were terrorists and to hand their bodies out to relatives for burial.
"If those killed were shaitans; and their crime falls under terrorism, we cannot give their bodies out according to the law," Mr Kadyrov said on air of the "Grozny" TV Channel and appointed the MP, Adam Delimkhanov, responsible for making the decision.
Relatives of the perished policeman announced a blood feud to the Timurzievs' relatives. On January 7, members of the Timurziev-Sultygov teip arrived in Chechnya and made peace with relatives of the perished and wounded policemen. On January 12, the father, mother and sister of the Timurziev brothers returned to Ingushetia.
Mr Delimkhanov said that the Timurzievs' relatives were released on behalf of Kadyrov, who justified such a decision by his desire to preserve fraternal relations between the nations of Chechnya and Ingushetia.
