Putin has chosen Kadyrov to be the president of Chechnya

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has made a decision to offer the candidature of Ramzan Kadyrov to the post of the president of Chechnya.

Dukuvakha Abdurakhmanov, Chairman of the National Assembly of Chechnya, is confident that at the sitting on Friday, March 2, the absolute majority of the deputies will support the nomination of Kadyrov to the post of the president of the Republic, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

"Not all the deputies will support the candidature of Kadyrov, since other candidates were nominated and they have their reliable supporters, but the absolute majority will vote for Ramzan Kadyrov," speaker Abdurakhmanov has said.

He reminded that "the absolute majority in the parliament of Chechnya belongs to the fraction "Yedinaya Rossiya" (United Russia), which in due time nominated Kadyrov for the premier and now for the president."

At the same time, in the opinion of political scientist Zaindi Choltaev, by putting Ramzan Kadyrov to the post of the head of Chechnya, the Kremlin reveals its weakness. The expert told about it in his interview to the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot." In his opinion, it is obvious that for a normal development of the Republic, a counterbalance should be created to Kadyrov's power.
