Avian flu detected in Adygea is human-hazardous
The avian flu virus detected about three weeks ago in the Krasnogvardeiskiy District of Adygea contains the N1 component, which is dangerous for humans. The fact was confirmed by analyses at the Central Scientific-Methodology Veterinary Laboratory in Moscow. Nadezhda Sayapina, chief veterinary of the Republic, has told about it today to the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot."
However, she added that there were no cases of avian flue in residents of the Republic. From the moment of detecting the poultry mortality in the auls of Ulyap and Dzhanbechij, quarantine was introduced there. All the required preventive measures have been practically taken. It is planned to lift up the quarantine in Ulyap on March 13, and in Dzhanbechij, where a relapse was observed after the focus was detected, - a bit later.
