Committee for Defence of Journalists demands from Azerbaijani authorities to protect Einullah Fatullaev

The Committee for Defence of Journalists (CDJ) that is based in the USA is concerned of the threats made to Einullah Fatullaev, editor of the "Real Azerbaijan" newspaper.

"We call the authorities of Azerbaijan to defend Einullah Fatullaev," Joel Simon, CDJ's executive director, has declared. "Since the murder of well-known editor Elmar Guseinov, which has remained uncovered, Azerbaijani journalists work in the atmosphere of fear. In this context, the threats received by Fatullaev should be treated especially seriously."

These threats were announced after Fatullaev had published an article in the "Real Azerbaijan" accusing the authorities of Azerbaijan of their unwillingness to investigate the murder of Elmar Guseinov, editor of the "Monitor" magazine.
