Activist Ataev heads Navalny's office in Makhachkala
An Alexei Navalny's office has been launched in the capital of Dagestan; it is coordinated by Eduard Ataev, a local activist.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on February 20, Ruslan Ablyakimov, an activist, was attacked in Makhachkala. He had linked the attack with the announcement about the opening of the Alexei Navalny's office in Makhachkala. Then, activists failed to find a room for their office in Makhachkala. Ablyakimov left the republic, noting that he had not abandoned the idea of opening an office in Dagestan.
Navalny's office has been opened in the capital of Dagestan, says the post of the Telegram channel entitled "Navalny's Office in Makhachkala" dated April 11.
According to Eduard Ataev, the office coordinator, the office will "actively participate in the republic's social and political life"; and its main mission in the near future "will be attracting those wishing to become observers at the upcoming elections to State Duma and regional elections (scheduled for September 19, – note of the "Caucasian Knot")," says the today's post in the "Caucasian Knot" Telegram channel.
