Suit of Borozdinovskaya residents to Ministry of Defence rejected
The Presnenskiy Court of Moscow has refused to collect from the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation the sum of 123 million roubles in favour of a group of residents of the Borozdinovskaya residents, the "Interfax" Agency reports. Forty-one residents of the village claimed for compensation from the Ministry of their losses suffered during the special operation held in Borozdinovskaya in summer of 2005.
We remind you that on the night of June 4-5, 2005, about 100 unidentified persons from the power units deployed in Chechnya made a raid on the village of Borozdinovskaya, having killed one and kidnapped 11 residents. After that, almost all the residents left the village and set up a tent camp in the Kizlyar District of the neighbouring Dagestan. After personal promises of Ramzan Kadyrov they returned home but then left for Dagestan again. The main claims of the residents - return of kidnapped countrymen, payment of compensation and punishment of those guilty - were never fulfilled. The authorities have not recognized Borozdinovskaya residents to be refugees.
