Daudov's threat of Zakaev's public condemnation comes true

A video has been posted, in which the brothers of the emigrant, Akhmed Zakaev, living in Chechnya, insult him and threaten him with execution.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 15, Ramzan Kadyrov has voiced out, in a joint broadcast on air on the Instagram with Magomed Daudov, the Speaker of the Chechen Parliament, threats against Akhmed Zakaev, who lives in Great Britain. In his turn, Daudov stated that Zakaev's relatives would be forced to publicly condemn him, if he did not stop criticizing Chechen authorities. This threat was voiced amid detention of Zakaev's relatives in the Urus-Martan District.

In September 2020, at a gathering in Urus-Martan, Zakaev's relatives demanded from emigrants not to interfere in Chechen matters and declared their loyalty to Kadyrov. Besides, they insulted Zakaev for supporting the oppositional "1Adat" Telegram channel. Instagram users suggested that Zakaev's relatives had been forced to speak out against him.
