Peacemakers: Georgia concentrates MIA units close to South Ossetia
Actually, Georgia is increasing the strength of its MIA units in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone. This conclusion was made by the Monitoring Group of the Mixed Peacemaking Forces (MPMF) in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone and OSCE Mission officers.
The aim of the monitoring was to check the available information about the tent camp with armed people deployed in the dwelling settlement of Kurta (populated by Georgians, located in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone and hosting the alternative government of South Ossetia), Captain V. Ivanov, PR assistant of the MPMF Commander, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
In the course of the monitoring, 5 tents with the sentry outside were detected. The tent camp belongs to the new MIA being created by D. Sanakoev's alternative government.
According to V. Karkusashvili, representative of the Administration, the camp houses 25 recruits who undergo their military training course. By early summer, the unit will count 150 persons.
