One of the persons wounded in Ameterkmakhi dies

Doctors have failed to save one of the victims of the shooting in the village of Ameterkmakhi, the spokesman for the Dagestani Ministry of Public Health (MPH) has informed. The attacker of the Imam had a land conflict with the Imam's brother, the Dagestan Muftiate has explained.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 12, in the village of Ameterkmakhi, a participant in the land conflict killed the Imam of the local mosque and wounded two other persons. One of the wounded persons later stabbed the attacker.

One of the Imam's relatives, who was wounded during the above incident in the Akushinsky District, died in hospital, where doctors fought for his life for several hours, the spokesman for the press service of the Dagestani MPH has stated.

"After the attack on the Imam, who died as a result of the received wounds, two of his relatives – a nephew and a brother were hospitalized in the Akushinsky Central District Hospital; they both were in grave condition. Unfortunately, one of them died," the "Interfax" has quoted the MPH's spokesman as saying.

The Dagestani Muftiate has condemned the incident in Ameterkmakhi. "A brother of the deceased Imam had a land conflict with some person, and the latter decided to resolve the situation in this way. Unfortunately, at that moment the Imam of this village occurred nearby. Our Muftiate has always condemned and will condemn such illegal actions," Abdulla Salimov, a deputy Mufti of Dagestan has stated in a video message posted on the Muftiate's Instagram page.
