Armenia announces its death toll in hostilities on Azerbaijani border

Six Armenian military servicemen perished during the recent hostilities that broke out on the border with Azerbaijan on November 16, the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 16, armed clashes occurred on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Armenian authorities claimed that Azerbaijani troops tried to move forward, while the Azeri party accused Armenian soldiers of trying to capture some heights in the border areas. The hostilities were stopped on November 16, after telephone talks of the heads of the MoDs of Armenia and Azerbaijan with Sergey Shoigu, the head of the Russian MoD. On November 18, two more shootouts occurred on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

"During the November 16 hostilities, which occurred as a result of an attack undertaken by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, the losses of the Armenian party, as of now, have made six casualties," the Armenian MoD has written on the Facebook.

The MoD has added that one casualty has not yet been identified.

Let us remind you that on November 17, Baku stated that during the November 16 armed clashes on the Armenian border, seven Azerbaijani militaries perished and other 10 were wounded.
