Twelve natives of Azerbaijan returned from Syria

Twelve natives of Azerbaijan have been returned to their homeland from a refugee camp in the Syrian city of Jarabulus, the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Azerbaijani authorities are periodically informing about the return of country's natives from the Middle East. From 2018 to the end of 2020, a total of 248 children were returned home from Iraq.

On November 24, Azerbaijani authorities returned home 12 Azeri natives who had been kept in the "Amerna" camp in the city of Jarabulus in Syria, the APA News Agency reported at night on November 25 with reference to the Azerbaijani MFA.

The above citizens of Azerbaijan were returned to their homeland via the territory of Turkey. The Azerbaijani Embassy provided them with certificates of return to the Republic of Azerbaijan, and on November 24 they arrived from Ankara to Baku by plane, the "Day.az" informed at night on November 25 with reference to the Azerbaijani MFA.
