On February 7-13, 2022, no one fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

During the week of February 7-13, 2022, no killed or wounded in the ongoing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus were reported. These are the results of the calculations run by the “Caucasian Knot” based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

A resident of Stavropol accused of plotting a terror act

On February 11, an 18-year-old resident of the Stavropol Territory was charged with plotting a terror act. According to the investigators’ version, the suspect was a supporter of an extremist organization, and he was plotting to blow up “one of the infrastructure facilities” in Novopavlovsk. Investigators believe that in the spring of 2021, the suspect prepared a place for laying an explosive and also purchased a TNT bomb, but he could not commit the terror act because of his detention.

Underground firearms workshop discovered in Dagestani village

On February 9, an underground workshop for the manufacture of military firearms was discovered in the house of a resident of the Dagestani village of Madjalis, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported. During an interrogation, the suspect said that he was making firearms for personal purposes, as that was his hobby.
