Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh blame each other of shelling

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed about shelling of its troops from the territory controlled by authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh. Azerbaijani militaries tried to advance in eastern direction and opened fire from large-calibre weapons, authorities of the unrecognized republic have stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 24, Nagorno-Karabakh announced that Azerbaijani militaries had violated the contact line in the Askeran District; and women and children had been evacuated from the communities of Parukh and Khramort. Baku has refuted accusations of violating the border.

On March 26, Azeri militaries were shelled from the Karabakh conflict zone and were forced to open a return fire, the Azerbaijani MoD has reported.

In its turn, the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD, stated that Azerbaijani militaries tried to advance towards the eastern border of the unrecognized republic and shelled Karabakh soldiers, the "News.am" reports.
