More than 12,500 residents of Donbass arrive in Rostov Region over a day
More than 12,500 refugees arrived in the Rostov Region from the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics (LPR and DPR, respectively) over a day, border guards reported.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on April 9, Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, the chief of the National Defence Control Centre of the Russian Federation, reported that the total number of refugees who had crossed the border with Russia, including the Rostov Region, amounted to more than 700,000 people.
Today, the press service for the Russian FSB’s Border Guard Service Department for the Rostov Region has reported about the number of residents of Donbass who arrived in Russia through border checkpoints in the Rostov Region. “Over the past 24 hours, more than 12,500 citizens have crossed the border to enter Russia through border checkpoints located in the Rostov Region,” the “Interfax” quoted the press service for the Russian FSB’s Border Guard Service Department for the Rostov Region as reporting.
Let us remind you that on March 23, the police detained freelance journalist Polina Efimova, who tried to talk to refugees from Mariupol at a temporary accommodation centre (TAC) in Taganrog.
