Authorities admit deaths of at least 200 militaries from NCFD and SFD in Ukraine

Since the start of the special operation in Ukraine, it became known about the deaths of at least 142 natives of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) and 58 residents of the Southern Federal District (SFD); these data were obtained as a result of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on the officially confirmed information.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Russian Ministry Defence (MoD) for the first time admitted its losses in Ukraine only on February 27, without specifying the death toll. On March 2, the MoD reported that 498 Russian servicemen perished in the special operation; other 1597 ones were wounded; on March 25, the MoD announced the deaths of 1351 servicemen; other 3825 ones were declared wounded.

On April 11, Rustambek Pirmagomedov, the head of Derbent, announced that the Order of Courage was handed over to relatives of Sergeant Bairam Ibragimpashaev, who perished during the special operation in Ukraine.

The "Caucasian Knot" has calculated Bairam Ibragimpashaev became the 200th military serviceman, whose death was confirmed by regional authorities of the NCFD and SFD.

Since the start of the military operation in Ukraine, regional and district authorities have reported the deaths of at least 76 natives of Dagestan; seven servicemen from Kabardino-Balkaria; eight from Ingushetia, 34 from North Ossetia, four from Karachay-Cherkessia, two residents of Chechnya and 11 natives of the Stavropol Territory. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, also announced the deaths of two natives of Chechnya. Thus, since the start of the military operation, the deaths in Ukraine of at least 142 NCFD natives have been officially confirmed.

Since the start of the hostilities, at least 58 SFD have perished in Ukraine; their deaths were reported by regional authorities. Thus, in the Astrakhan Region, at least 13 soldiers perished; in the Volgograd Region – at least 17 ones; in Kalmykia – at least four, in Kuban (Krasnodar Territory) – at least 17; and in the Rostov Region – at least seven servicemen have perished.
