Investigation into Kondopoga fight is over

The Public Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Karelia has finished the investigation of the criminal case initiated on the facts of the murder of two Kondopoga residents and inflicting various gravity harm to the health of nine other citizens during the incident at night on August 29-30, 2006, near the "Chaika" restaurant. The news is reported by the "Gazeta.Ru" with reference to the press service of the Office.

Six persons, all natives from the Caucasus, are defendants in the case. They are all under arrest.

The investigation has established that knife wounds to the victims, two of whom subsequently died, were made by Magomadov. His actions were qualified as murder under hooligan motives and a murder attempt.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported earlier that the cause of disorders in Kondopoga, Republic of Karelia, was a mass fight between local residents and Caucasian natives, during which Grigoriy Slizov, 27, and Sergey Usin, 32, a security of the Central Regional Hospital, were killed.
