United Nations to help Georgia with strategy of better life for refugees
The UN High Commissioner for Refugees will help Georgia to finance the program of refugees' registration and implement the state strategy aimed to improve their living standards. These plans were announced at the press conference on May 21 by Giorgi Kheviashvili, Georgian Minister for Refugees and Settlement, and Navid Hussein, UN Commissariat Representative in Georgia.
The Georgian Minister explained after signing the agreement that the UN Commissariat is a serious partner of the Georgian Ministry for Refugees in solving refugees' problems, and renders Georgia in this respect a huge support both in technical and financial aspects.
The UN High Commissioner has noted, in his turn, that the overall objective of his work is to improve the living standards of refugees.
