"United Protest Front" holds an action at the "Kholodny Rodnik" (Cold Spring) Memorial in Stavropol
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the press service of the public organization "United Protest Front," the participants of the action in the number of 15-20 persons blocked the access to the construction site.
The background of the events is as follows: the tenants of No. 397/7 in Lenin Street in Stavropol are litigating with the Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) "Elite-Stroj" and the administration of the city. The tenants are convinced that the object was erected illegally and is subject to demolition. On June 22, Judge of the Oktiabrskiy District Court passed a ruling with "immediate" enactment, which forbids the CJSC "Elite-Stroj" to go on with its civil works. However, the builders have ignored the Court's ruling and tripled their construction efforts.
The court marshals, to whom the human rights activists delivered the court order, could not find the managers of the CJSC "Elite-Stroj" to serve the order to them. Then, the participants of the protest movement made a decision to interfere with the situation, the press service has informed.
A couple of hours after a tent of the "United Protest Front" was set up at the Memorial site, an executive police marshal arrived to the action venue, examined the construction site in the presence of witnesses and served the "Act of Committing Executive Actions" to the representative of the construction company.
