Compensation payments to the people of Chechnya for lost dwelling and property will become ?an important stimulus for refugees to return? to the republic. Today the head of the Federal Migration Service Igor Yunash has expressed such an opinion at the press-conference in Moscow. He reminded payments on the territory of Chechnya must start in September of the current year.

In accordance with the decision of the Government of the Russian Federation, a family residing in Chechnya will get a compensation in sum of 350 thousand rubles, a family residing in the other Russian regions ? in sum of about 120 thousand rubles. ?Now we work to equalize compensation sums to be paid in Russia and the Chechen Republic, but it will take several months?, Yunash noticed. He also reported that about 8 families from the Tver region had expressed wish to move from the Central Russia to Chechnya.
