Oppositionists unblock streets of Yerevan

Activists of the “Resistance” movement unblocked the streets of Yerevan and returned to Square of France. The opposition insists on holding an extraordinary session of the parliament, MP Ishkhan Sagatelyan says.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that today, the activists have blocked the presidential residence and the building of the Security Council in Yerevan for several hours. Protest leaders announce the intention to hold demonstrations until the Armenian authorities change their position on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh.

The opposition unblocked the streets blocked during the day in Yerevan and marched to Square of France. The police accompanied the procession.

At a briefing with journalists, MP Ishkhan Sagatelyan, the deputy speaker of the Armenian parliament from the “Hayastan” bloc, has stated that the fight against the demand for the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan from the post of the country’s prime minister will be continued by all possible methods.

MP Ishkhan Sagatelyan has also noted that the opposition plans to form an agenda and convene an extraordinary parliamentary session next week.
