Krasnodar law enforcers receive conditional sentences for beating up disabled Manchenko

A court in Krasnodar has sentenced Vyacheslav Zyabkin and Vladimir Tatarkov, policemen, to four and three years of conditional imprisonment respectively within the case of beating Evgeny Manchenko, a disabled person. His defence intends to seek compensation for Manchenko.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in March 2019, two policemen beat up Evgeny Manchenko, a resident of Krasnodar, who was trying to climb over the fence into the yard of his house, as he had lost his keys. According to the mother, Snezhana Manchenko, her 23-year-old son is disabled with developmental disabilities.

Pavel Chikov, the head of the "Agora" international group, has announced in his Telegram channel that a verdict was passed in the case of the beating up of Evgeny Manchenko.

The victim's mother did not insist on the policemen's real imprisonment, since she does not want their small children to be reared without fathers.

It should be noted that initially Tatarkov and Zyabkin had denied their guilt and claimed that Manchenko broke his leg on a brick in the fall. At a court hearing in December 2020, they recognized the incident as their tragic mistake, but refused to treat it as a crime.
