FSIN checks rights defenders' data about execution threat of convict in Rostov-on-Don

The Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service (known as FSIN) for the Rostov Region has appointed a check against the colonel, whom human rights defenders accused of threatening to execute a convict.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in November 2020, after the death of a convict who was undergoing treatment at the FSIN's Rostov tuberculosis hospital, a case was initiated under the article on causing bodily harm resulting in death.

Human rights defenders of the "Gulagu.net" project have accused a colonel from the above FSIN Directorate of threatening to beat up and execute prisoners. There are audio records with pronounced threats against a prisoner to prove that. The prisoner was ill and tried to get an exclusion from work. However, the colonel reacted inadequately – he promised to take the inmate to the forest and beat him up, the project website asserts.
