DJ publicly apologizes for his performance in Chechen costume

The DJ, who wore Chechen clothes and a headdress while performing dance music, apologized for his behaviour in a video message.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that at the suggestion of Ramzan Kadyrov, the practice of public apologies adopted in Chechnya, has spread to other regions of Russia. In particular, on August 5, a resident of Moscow apologized for a video with obscene comments, in which a resident of Chechnya was walking along a beach with weapons in his hands.

Residents of Chechnya also regularly apologize for their various misdeeds and criticism of the authorities, and the “Grozny” TV Channel posts reports about the apologies.

A video with the DJ’s apology for using the Chechen headdress and clothes was posted on the “ChP Grozny95” Telegram channel.

“Dear believers, Muslims, especially the peoples of the Caucasus, Chechnya. In no case did I want to offend your faith. I just did not know that this headdress should not be worn at such events,” the man in the video says.

The DJ was forced to apologize, suggests user andres, a reader of the “Caucasian Knot”.

Let us remind you that in October 2021, in connection with a young woman’s public apology to Muslims, Islamic scholars pointed out that Islamic norms did not provide for any forceful impact on non-Muslims if they offended religious feelings.
