Dagestani resident publicly apologizes for his conflict with natives of Chechnya
A resident of Dagestan apologized to the Chechen people for insulting remarks made during a conflict with natives of the republic, follows from a video posted today by Ramzan Kadyrov.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that the practice of forcing public apologies, adopted in Chechnya at the suggestion of Ramzan Kadyrov, has gone beyond the borders of the republic. In particular, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan has repeatedly posted recordings of detainees apologizing for their various offenses and misdemeanours.
Today, Ramzan Kadyrov has posted on his Telegram channel a video with an apology from a resident of Dagestan. “Recently, a road incident occurred in Dagestan, which caused a wide public outcry in the two fraternal republics. The indignation among the residents was provoked by insulting remarks voiced by a representative of one nation about another,” the leader of Chechnya explained.
“I am always pleased when I see that a man, who has committed an act that does not show him from his better side, timely and sincerely admits his mistake ... And I am pleased that it was the participant of the incident who put an end to all conversations. The man recorded an appeal in which he repented for his misconduct,” Ramzan Kadyrov wrote.
In the video, a young man addresses the Chechen people. “The other day, an incident occurred which involved me and brothers from a neighbouring republic … I would like to apologize to those whom I offended,” the young man says in his video message.
