Swedish radio station announces Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov alive

Tumso Abdurakhmanov is alive and will testify in court in Munich, a Swedish radio station reports with reference to a court representative.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on December 1, the information appeared on the Internet about the murder of Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov in Sweden. The information was not confirmed by either his relatives or the authorities of Sweden, but a number of associates of Tumso Abdurakhmanov said that he could be killed or be under police protection. Chingiz Akhmadov, the director of the “Grozny” ChGTRK (State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company) said that the possible murder of Tumso Abdurakhmanov could be organized by Akhmed Zakaev, who was criticized by the blogger. The press service of the government of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria reported that Tumso Abdurakhmanov was alive.

The “Caucasian Knot” has also reported that on March 8, 2021, Tumso Abdurakhmanov reported about the failed assassination attempt on his brother Mukhammad in Germany. According to the Tumso Abdurakhmanov’s version, Tamerlan Aurbiev, a native of Chechnya, refused to kill Mukhammad and disclosed the name of the agent. Tamerlan Aurbiev’s family was evacuated from Chechnya, and he himself was taken under protection by German law enforcement officers.
