Volgograd contract serviceman denied hospitalization again

Alexei, a participant in the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine, who was diagnosed with a number of serious illnesses, was again denied hospitalization. His advocate has sent a complaint to the Main Centre for Military Medical Expertise of the Russia's Ministry of Defence (MoD). She demands to annul the conclusion of the military medical commission of the hospital on Alexei's fitness for military and to appoint another medical examination.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 24, an interview was held at the Volgograd Garrison Military Court on Alexei's lawsuit, demanding that the decision to call him up for service be suspended until the military medical commission (MMC) examines him again. He could be sent back to SMO Ukraine, his defence is afraid. On April 10, his wife reported that the command of the military unit had threatened Alexei with a criminal case.

Olga Miroedova, his advocate, said that her client is now preparing for hospitalization at home, as his health condition has worsened. She has recalled that Alexei, a combat veteran since 2008, had served under contract at the SMO zone until September 29, 2022.

During his service at the SMO zone, Alexei's chronic diseases worsened, he underwent treatment after contusion.

"He is extremely exhausted, he stutters very badly, his consciousness is unstable; uncontrolled aggression has appeared," Anna, Alexei's wife, has stated.

The military hospital would not confirm the diagnosis made by a civilian doctor and refused to hospitalize Alexei.

"Alexei does not refuse to take his service, but without receiving the necessary medical treatment, he believes that his further participation in the SMO is impossible," Ms Miroedova, his advocate, has explained.
