Bookkeeper from KBR fined under army discrediting criminal article
A court in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) has found the reposts and publications placed by Islam Mambetov, a resident of the village of Zalukokoazhe, to be a repeated discrediting of the Russian Army and fined him by 100,000 roubles.
According to the human rights project "OVD-Info"*, Mambetov's posts on the Instagram**, in which he had reposted "Layma Vaikule's anti-Russian statements", were treated as support for Ukraine and criticism of Russia; the posts became the reason for persecution.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in May this year, the court fined the above Islam Mambetov, a resident of the village of Zalukokoazhe in the KBR's Zolsky District, by 30,000 roubles, claiming that his posts on the social network had discredited Russian militaries.
