Charges toughened against four arrested for riots in Makhachkala
Four people arrested in connection with the riots at Makhachkala Airport have been additionally charged with violating transport security requirements. This was reported by the "Mediazona"*.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that by December 13, 2023, about 150 people had been arrested within the criminal case regarding unrests at the Makhachkala Airport; one of them was also accused of attacking a law enforcer. Among those arrested, there are those who simply observed what was happening, a member of the Public Oversight Commission (POC) of Dagestan has added.
On October 29, 2023, riots broke out at Makhachkala Airport due to reports of the arrival of a plane with passengers from Israel. More than 20 people suffered.
Earlier, any persons accused of violating transport security requirements during the anti-Semitic action in Makhachkala were not reported. The article provides for up to seven years of freedom deprivation.
