Kadyrov boasts of buying armoured foreign made cars for Chechen fighters
For the Chechen units fighting in the special military operation (SMO) zone, 30 armoured foreign made vehicles have been bought for the money from the Akhmat Kadyrov Fund, the head of Chechnya has reported.
According to Ramzan Kadyrov, the expenses of the regional fund named after Akhmat Kadyrov to support the fighters have exceeded 32 billion roubles.
There is no official information about the sources of replenishing the Kadyrov Fund. According to the head of Chechnya, money is given to the republic by Allah, as well as by "good people."
"A total of 30 armoured Toyota vehicles will soon be distributed among the Chechen units engaged in the SMO," Kadyrov wrote in his Telegram channel. The cars "meet modern standards," he has noted.
Let us recall that in December 2023, the Chechen Industry Minister stated that in 2024 the republic plans to launch production of the combat "Jihad Machine" at the "Chechenavto" factory for the needs of the SMO.
Earlier, amid the reports on spending from the Akhmat Kadyrov Fund, the head of Chechnya admitted that the republic actually lives off subsidies. In January 2022, he said that the Russian government annually allocates 300 billion roubles for support of Chechnya, which cannot survive without federal support "even for a month."
