Teenager from Chechnya detained in France for promoting terrorism
In the French city of Tours, the police detained a 15-year-old native of Chechnya after he posted videos on social network with instructions for manufacturing an improvised explosive device, beheading people, and with symbols of the “Islamic State” (IS, a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, – note of the “Caucasian Knot”).
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that earlier, incidents involving migrants from the republics of Northern Caucasus have repeatedly occurred in the countries of the European Union, including France. In particular, on October 13, 2023, a teacher was killed at a school in Arras in France. The media reported that an attacker was 20-year-old Mokhamad Mogushkov, whose family came to France from Ingushetia.
According to the prosecutor’s office of the French city of Tours, the 15-year-old teenager from Chechnya was detained after sharing several videos on the “TikTok” social network, in which investigators saw propaganda of terror acts, the newspaper “Gazeta.ru” reported. Among the information posted by the teenager was a booklet describing how to manufacture an improvised explosive device. The schoolboy was also interested in the substance used to make so-called “shahid belts,” the “Actu17.fr” portal reported.
The teenager was born in Grozny. The videos he posted on the social network also showed the beheading of people and the flags of the international terrorist organization “Islamic State” (IS, a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, – note of the “Caucasian Knot”). The schoolboy was placed under judicial supervision with a ban on night walks, participation in public demonstrations, and leaving France. The teenager is also to undergo a consultation with a psychologist.
