Voters report coercion to vote in Stavropol and Krasnodar Territories

Residents of the Stavropol and Krasnodar Territories have faced coercion to vote at the recent elections, voters have reported. From the Seversky District of the latter, the "Map of Election Violations" also received reports of pressure on an observer and violations during home voting.

On September 6-8, Russia held elections at various levels, including for heads of regions and municipal officials.

By 2:40 p.m. Moscow time on September 7, the "Map of Election Violations" website received five reports of violations at the elections in the Stavropol Territory.

A voter's statement claims that college students in Stavropol were forced to vote at the governor's election. The report was classified under the category "Pressure from superiors, coercion and bribery of voters".

The federal centre is currently not interested in changing governors in Southern Russia, preferring the already proven personnel, analysts indicated earlier.

By 2:40 p.m. Moscow time, 14 messages had been received from the Krasnodar Territory. In particular, on September 6 and 7, an observer and a voter at polling stations Nos. 120 and 125 in the city of Abinsk reported that people were forced to vote.

The "Caucasian Knot" draws attention to the fact that messages on the "Map of Election Violations" are posted without prior verification and in the users' versions.
