Complaint of Seda Suleimanova's friend about police actions forwarded to Chechnya

The Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has informed Lena Patyaeva that her appeal demanding that law enforcers involved in the abduction of Seda Suleimanova be held accountable has been forwarded to Chechnya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this August, Lena Patyaeva demanded from the ICRF to initiate a criminal case about law enforcers' actions during the abduction of her friend Seda Suleimanova, which occurred a year ago. Law enforcers detained Suleimanova in Saint Petersburg and allowed her to be sent to Chechnya despite the girl's words about the repressions that threatened her, Lena Patyaeva has explained. In April, it became known that the ICRF was investigating Seda Suleimanova's disappearance under the murder article.

Patyaeva has stated that investigators failed to come to any conclusions, and that the investigation was being sabotaged. Friends and right defenders fear that Suleimanova has fallen victim to an "honour killing".
