The criminal case against nineteen defendants accused of involvement in the terrorist attack in the “Crocus City Hall” concert hall has been sent to the prosecutor’s office for transfer to court, and the investigation with regard to two organizers and four members of a terrorist organization is still ongoing, reports Svetlana Petrenko, a spokesperson for the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
The investigation into the criminal case against Shamsidin Fariduni, Dalerdjon Mirzoev, Mukhammadsobir Fayzov, Saidokrami Murodali Rachabalizoda, Shakhromdjon Gadoev, Zubaydullo Ismoilov, Khusein Khamidov, Mukhammad Zoir Sharipzoda, Yakubdjoni Davlatkhon Yusufzoda, Nazrimad Lutfulloya, Djumakhon Kurbonov, Khusein Medov, Djabrail Aushev, Alisher Kasimov, Umedjon and Mustakim Soliev, Isroil Islomov, as well as Dilovar and Aminchon Islomov has been completed. According to the investigators’ version, all of the above-mentioned defendants were members of the “Vilayat Khorasan” terrorist organization, banned in Russia. Depending on the role of each defendant, they are accused of particularly grave crimes.
“The investigation has found that this inhuman crime was planned and committed in the interests of the current leaders of Ukraine with the aim of destabilizing the political situation in our country. Furthermore, several of the defendants were plotting to blow up an entertainment complex in the city of Kaspiysk in the Republic of Dagestan, but their planned crime was prevented,” the RIA “Novosti” news agency quotes today the ICRF’s spokesperson as stating.
According to the investigators’ information, preparations for the terrorist attack began several months before it was committed. Some of the defendants arrived in Russia from abroad, where they had undergone initial training. Some of the defendants already stayed in Russia, looking for the means and tools to commit the crime. Other defendants were constantly remaking firearms and handing them over to members of the terrorist organization. The firearms were brought to Kaspiysk, from where they were delivered to Moscow immediately before the terrorist attack, the TASS reports.
