As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, the authorities promised to remove all the sand from the temporary storage site in the Anapa village of Voskresensky by April 1, but they postponed this deadline first to April 15, and then to the end of May, citing a lack of capacity at disposal facilities. About 22 thousand tons of contaminated sand remain at the site in Voskresensky, it will be removed by mid-July, the Kuban operational headquarters announced on June 23.

Before removal, all sand is passed through a specialized unit "Grokhot", it sorts the soil, separating the most contaminated fractions with fuel oil. Sand with a minimum content of oil products is sent to the landfill of Terra-N LLC in Novorossiysk for use as inert materials. With a maximum - is taken away for disposal to specialized enterprises "Biopotential" and "Mercury Safety".

On average, a thousand tons are removed from the site in the Voskresensky farm per day, the operational headquarters reported today.

In the next week and a half, the site will be almost completely cleaned, but the minimum volume of soil after the emissions will first be brought here. "It was precisely to continue the operation of the temporary accommodation point in the village of Voskresenskoye that the regional Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergencies signed the necessary agreements with the regional operator on July 14. The task of the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory is to ensure that new volumes of oil-contaminated sand are removed for disposal as quickly as possible, but the site itself must continue to function while there are emissions on the coast of the Temryuk District and Anapa and while all work to eliminate the emergency is not completed," the message says.

Earlier, the Telegram channel Kub_Mash reported on the signed contract. "The Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergencies of the Krasnodar Territory signed an agreement - oil products from the Anapa and Temryuk beaches will be transported and stored under the fence of local residents until October of this year," the publication dated July 23 says.

Recall that by March 1, the sand most contaminated with oil from the beaches of Anapa was removed from the site in Voskresenskoye. The sand is stored near houses, a school and a kindergarten, the villagers said, and called for the removal to be expedited. In their appeal on May 30, the villagers demanded a meeting with the mayor of Anapa, and in their next appeal, they called on him to remove all the sand as soon as possible.

On December 24, 2024, the villagers blocked the road in protest. The industrial zone where the sand and fuel oil bags are taken is located near residential buildings, and the dangerous cargo is stored directly on the ground, they said. After the environmental disaster, Rospotrebnadzor declared 141 beaches in Anapa and nine beaches in the Temryuk district unsuitable for recreation. Signs with information about the ban on swimming have been installed there, and announcements about this are also displayed on video screens in different areas of Anapa. Representatives of the administration and Cossacks patrol the coastal areas and ask vacationers not to visit these places.
