Queues of cars formed at the Crimean Bridge

After two closures of traffic on the Crimean Bridge, long queues of cars formed at the inspection points. 2,120 cars are waiting to pass from the Taman side, 1,450 from the Crimea side. Trains are also delayed.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, on the morning of August 4, there were 1,485 cars in the queue to pass on the Crimean Bridge from the Kuban side, and there was no queue from the Kerch side.

Users of the "Crimean Bridge" chat confirmed that they had to spend several hours in line. "Yesterday, we drove up from Taman at 2:06 for inspection, we had just taken out our things and the siren went off. Everyone was turned away, we stood in line again. We were lucky that we turned around quickly, this morning, after 6 hours, the bridge opened, we got to the inspection almost immediately. Everything took 10 minutes after the bridge opened and we rushed. We had just crossed the bridge and a message came about the bridge being closed. This is exactly what we were afraid of when we were at the inspection for the second time. To everyone who got to the siren twice, patience and a quick passage," wrote Irina Makhinova.

"Six hours in a traffic jam at +35°C and above," user V...V... was indignant.

"Trains are also standing in front of the bridge, in general, everyone is in the same boat, gentlemen motorists," wrote Konstantin.

Company "Grand Service" Express, which operates rail transport to Crimea, reported today that 11 trains between the peninsula and the mainland are delayed - seven in the direction of the peninsula, four back. The reason is not specified.

"The travel time may change. We are using all possible means to reduce [it]. Drinking water can be taken from coolers. Passengers are provided with food, if possible," the company reported on its Telegram channel.

An attack by unmanned boats was announced in Novorossiysk tonight, sirens sounded in the city, the attack was repelled without consequences, the city administration reported on its Telegram channel.

Recall that on July 17, 2023, the Crimean Bridge was attacked by Ukrainian drones, one span was destroyed, another was damaged. Traffic on the bridge was restored only on November 1 of the same year.

On October 8, 2022, an explosion occurred on the Crimean Bridge, and two spans collapsed. Vladimir Putin called the incident a terrorist attack, the FSB stated that the organizer of the terrorist attack was the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The traffic on the bridge was resumed a month later.
