Kalmykia soldier killed in Ukraine

Albert Magomedov from the Iki-Burulsky district was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, the authorities have officially named at least 169 soldiers killed there.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, by August 10, the authorities and security forces recognized at least 168 soldiers from Kalmykia as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

The name of another soldier from Kalmykia killed in Ukraine was made public by the district administration, reporting on the presentation of a posthumous award to his relatives.

Albert Magomedov was awarded the Order of Courage in July 2025 by decree of Putin, according to a message from the official Telegram channel of the Iki-Burulsky district. The officials did not provide biographical information about the killed man in the statement.

Thus, at least 169 fighters from Kalmykia have been officially recognized as killed in the war zone in Ukraine. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation.
