Two fighters from the Volgograd region were killed in Ukraine.

Vladimir Orlov and Maxim Shestakov were killed in combat in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the military operation, at least 1,377 soldiers from the Volgograd region have been officially recognized as killed in it.

At least 3,728 fighters from the North Caucasus Federal District and 3,772 from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

The funeral of Vladimir Orlov, killed in a military operation in January 2025, was held in the village of 1-ya Berezovka, the publication "Volgogradskaya Pravda.ru" reported on September 30. Among the founders of the publication are the administration of the Volgograd region and the regional committee for territorial formations, internal affairs and information policy.

On the same day, it became known that Maxim Shestakov, a resident of the Volgograd region, was killed in the military operation, the publication writes.

Thus, at least 1,377 soldiers from the Volgograd region have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation.
