Stavropol Territory: teacher is accused of driving a pupil to suicide

In the Stavropol Territory, a criminal case has been initiated against a teacher of secondary school No. 2 of the village of Aleksandrovskoye under the article on driving to suicide of a 9th form pupil.

Today, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Stavropol Territory that the case was initiated against teacher Neumyvakina, V. I., under Article 110 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Driving to suicide").

"It has been established that the teacher of mathematics of the Municipal Educational Establishment Secondary School No. 2 of Aleksandrovskoye villages was presenting excessive demands to the pupil of the 9th form, regularly offended him in public and applied manhandling to him," the Prosecutor's Office has informed.

Workers of the Office have emphasized that neither the class teacher nor the school administration could timely reveal the conflict and take measures to defend the child.

The boy stopped to perform the teacher's tasks and go to her lessons, and on January 30, 2008, he committed suicide, having left a premortal letter with charges against the teacher of his death.

It has become known to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the boy had died from an overdose of some medicinal matter. He also left a video message to his parents recorded on his mobile phone, in which he called the teacher of mathematics to be the cause of his death.

The Prosecutor's Office is now considering the issue of the teacher's dismissal. The investigation of the criminal case is under personal control of the Public Prosecutor of the Stavropol Territory.
