Casualties of combat collision in Kabardino-Balkaria identified

The personalities of today's casualties of the combat collision in the city of Baksan, Kabardino-Balkaria, have been established. A criminal case was initiated on the fact of rendering armed resistance to militiamen under the articles of "Illegal storage of arms" and "Attempt on life of a law enforcer".

According to the official information from law enforcement bodies, today early in the morning in the city of Baksan, in the course of a targeted check of one of the houses, power agents were met by sub-machine gun fire.

The response fire killed two persons registered as searched as active members of the Kabardino-Balkarian underground movement.

"Their persons are established and their surnames are known," law enforcers have stated, but refused to give details in the interests of the inquiry.
